We’re always looking for exciting new artists on the scene. Keep scrolling for FAQs on how we work with you.
FAQs

We really appreciate you taking the time to submit your music for our opinion or coverage. GIVE IT A SPIN is an independent digital-first publication, but runs entirely voluntarily through a shared love for music.
Currently, we receive a large volume of emails and DM’s, and may (at times) be slower than usual to come back to you. Our aim is to respond within 1-3 days, and recommend submitting new music in advance where possible. We read and listen to everything, and our inbox is a glorious playlist of new music (we can’t complain!).
-
Every week, we aim to provide 1-2 reviews or opinion pieces. Alongside this, we also release a Weekly Roundup which includes some of the freshest music we’re enjoying from the indie scene. Your review will be released within 1 week of release, and sooner dependent on when press material was received.
-
Of course! We love coming to see new talent up and down the country. Please submit the form above with the relevant deets, and we’ll come back to you with our availability and if we can make it work. We may not always be able to attend, due to clashes or unforeseen circumstances, but will make every effort possible to do so.

Unfortunately, we avoid giving any artists direct shoutouts on social media. That being said, we’re constantly sharing new music, updates from bands big and small and love interacting with everyone.
-
Our reviews and opinions are always honest. We work really hard to ensure our content supports and provides a platform to upcoming artists and bands, but remains honest and critical throughout. We love music, and will always aim to share that with people who follow our page(s). That being said, we’re unable to review everything (unless we never went outside), and our opinion is our own, which is what drives our independent nature.

While most of the FAQs here are aimed at smaller and upcoming artists submitting music independently, we do work with Press Agencies with larger artists. If you manage an artist with an album, single or tour on the way, we’re open to receiving press releases and providing coverage.
