Weekly Roundup #29 2 Aug Written By Charlie Wright Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment. Another week, another roundup. Charm Outta Boredom - Rae Charlea After being incredibly impressed and mesmerised by her earlier single, ‘He’s Just A Boy’, we made Rae one to watch. Her latest track takes a u-turn on her fast-paced indie pop, and in contrast delivers a soft and emotional take on being led-on. Shotgun - Flat Party Kicking off a new chapter for London-based Flat Party, Shotgun is a welcome new single after their impressive debut EP. Adamant on never being pigeonholed, the band take their quirky and unconventional approach to new heights. Read our full review. togethertogether - Sofy We love Sofy’s proper-British lyricism. She’s arguably gearing up to become this generation’s Lily Allen, blending candyfloss-like vocals with gorgeously catchy melodies. ‘togethertogether’ is another string to her bow, as she storms festival season with a bang. Nack Nostalgia - Royel Otis As part of the Bose x NME 2024 mixtape, various artists have contributed beautiful tracks including Lola Young, Royel Otis and Artemas. Our favourite is Royel Otis’ ‘Nack Nostalgia’. We can’t get enough of it. Bad Remake - Wallows Have you heard? It’s been five years since Wallows’ huge debut album. In celebration, they’ve released a new edition which features new music, one being ‘Bad Remake’. If you’re keen to re-live 2019 in style, now’s your chance. Who were your favourites?
