Weekly Roundup #56

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?

Never Know - The Kooks

Surprise! Indie icons The Kooks have got a new album, and it’s out in May. The record marks the return of their signature style, after a futuristic, but successful, departure on their most recent effort. New single ‘Never Know’ is a brilliant way to kick-start the campaign, and we can’t wait for more.

Boy So Blue - The Slow Readers Club

Described as ‘insistent, pulsing electro-pop and yearning’, Manchester’s emotive The Slow Readers Club have just dropped their statement single Boys So Blue. The track is taken from their seventh studio album and is bursting with energy.

Lately I’ve Been Thinking Of Your Mum - King Husky

Looking for something chill this February? Quiet drama accompanies the pupation of famed Norwegian musician, Vidar Landa, as he transforms into the butterfly of the meticulously melodic, low-lit King Hüsky.

Trying - Brain Leak

Emotional as ever, Brain Leak have released a debut single called Trying. This track reveals the first harvest of a deeply personal diary of songwriting coming from upcoming songwriter Tara-Gabriella Engelhardt.

You’re going to want to be on it with this one.

Peace Talk - Maribou State, Holly Walker

Maribou State have recently released their latest album Hallucinating Love, and what a record. The UK duo have once again outdone themselves with beautifully woven tracks which transport you to another dimension entirely. One of our favourites Peace Talk deserves a mention, particularly for the beautiful collaboration with Holly Walker.
