Weekly Roundup #58

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup. What are you spinning?

front seat honey - SOFY

SOFY herself has described her latest indie banger as ‘shotgun by George Ezra if it wasn’t shite’ and ‘drivers licence if Olivia Rodrigo was from the East Midlands and drove a banged up Ford KA’. There’s not much more to say, her candid humour and knack for penning singalong hits isn’t something to ignore in 2025.

Love Is A Dog From Hell - The Amazons

To celebrate Valentine’s Day last week, The Amazons dropped a thrilling new single Love Is A Dog From Hell. The track continues their 21st Century Fiction theme of dreamy backing vocals, experimental rock and returning to their heavier roots. However, this one throws in Bob Dylan, who frontman Matt has historically been a huge fan of.

Make A Difference - KAWALA

As KAWALA played their final shows on their send-off tour, the indie quartet bid farewell with a special ‘Collection’ album for the long-term fans. One of our favourites is Make A Difference, which is also a nice way to sentiment to remember such the band.

Xxxx - Coupdekat

We’ve featured rising star Coupdekat numerous times, and for good reason. The young artist has spent 2024 finding her sound, dropping huge tracks like M.I.A. She’s now here with her second EP - and a favourite of ours is Xxxx. Her genre-mashing style is super refreshing, and a joy to dive into everytime a new release arrives.

The Night Before - The Black Keys

Since returning to the scene in 2019, The Black Keys have not taken their feet off the gas. Already dropping four albums since then, their new record No Rain, No Flowers is on its way later this year. This lead single is a sign of a band truly having fun, and enjoying their craft again.
