Weekly Roundup #17

Welcome to Roundup, showcasing the freshest tunes at the moment.

Another week, another roundup. Big tunes from RAT BOY, milk. and Super Market.

SUBURBIA CALLING - RAT BOY

After dropping a colourful mixtape back in April, RAT BOY are back with a surprise new tune - SUBURBIA CALLING. In their signature style, it’s witty and fun, following a similar style to what Jamie T pioneered. Catch them live in London next month with tickets out now.

Mr Midnight - Miles Kane & The Evils

Miles Kane leans into his 60’s surf-rock influences with side project ‘The Evils’, originally a Record Store Day exclusive now available on all streaming services. Miles is certainly riding the wave of hype behind his latest record and tour, and diving into this Beach Boys-esque record is a thrill. Our favourite is Mr Midnight. Surfs up!

Fast Fashion - Super Market

A self-confessed 'one stop shop for all your music needs’ Super Market is an alt-pop duo formulating infectious indie tunes for the masses. Their latest, Fast Fashion, takes on a heap of influences and has you spinning (or dancing) to the beat. One to watch in 2024.

Metaverse - Cage The Elephant

The latest to come from their forthcoming album, Metaverse is one of the biggest singles so far. It’s not wildly new, leaning further into their nailed-style and themes, alongside other singles, the direction of the latest record is clear. Cage The Elephant have created their sound, now it’s time to own it.

Don’t Miss It - milk.

After a sold-out tour across the UK, EU and USA, milk. return with a new single, Don’t Miss It. This Dublin four-piece doesn’t seem to rest, always delivering a gorgeously fresh blend of alt-indie-pop. And with The 1975 now on hiatus, it’s a perfect time for milk. to strike. Whatever people say, you can’t lie to yourself - these tunes are infectiously addictive. And we’re not complaining.

Now, it’s your turn. Give it a spin, and tell us what you think on Insta or X.

See you next week!
